It takes a special kind of stupid to get chased out of a country for your stage antics, but that’s exactly what happened to Black Lips during their recent seven date tour of India.
The band were hounded by police after guitarist Cole Alexander allegedly stripped and jumped into the crowd, before proceeding to get back on stage and make out with the rest of the (all male) band.
Personally, we find this kinda hot, but the Indian authorities didn’t agree and the band had to flee to Berlin to escape arrest.
Despite the drama, Black Lips hope that more Western bands tour India.
“For future reference, we really enjoyed the people of India and we hope western rock bands will be able to tour there in the future,” a statement from the band said.

Paramore’s leading lady, Hayley Williams, has been reflecting about the past four years on her blog, after recently turning the big 2-0.
In the blog, Williams slams her critics saying that “I don’t need anyone to approve of me or think I’m cool to make me feel fine with myself.”
“I don’t need to be in a popular band or make a LiveJournal post to find value in my life… Even though “blogging” rules,” she added. “Some of you guys think I have changed a lot. And I have. I’ve gone from being 16 to 17 then to 18, 19 and now, my 20th year of existence has been bestowed upon me. I am always changing. Thank God!
“I like different things, I have a few new friends, I listen to bands I didn’t listen to even two months ago… I’m living, and it is awesome,” Hayley continued. “So, if any of you guys are planning on staying sixteen forever then I’ll catch ya on the flipside.”
We’ll always be sixteen at heart, Hayley…

Could Led Zeppelin really be over? According to Peter Mensch, Jimmy Page’s manager, they are.
In an interview with Music Radar last week, Mensch said:
“They tried out a few singers [to replace Robert Plant], but no one worked out. That was it. The whole thing is completely over now. There are absolutely no plans for them to continue. Zero.”
“Led Zeppelin are over. If you didn’t see them in 2007, you missed them. It’s done. I can’t be any clearer than that. Frankly, I wish everybody would stop talking about it.”
The band just celebrated the 40th anniversary of their debut album. All we can say is :(

Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor has gone up in our estimation, after blasting Coldplay’s new album, Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends.
In the interview on MTV2 with Zane Lowe, Taylor said the album was “one of the most self-celebratory pieces of sh*t I’ve ever f*cking heard in my entire f*cking life.”
As if we didn’t get the hint that he didn’t like the album, he also added: “I f*cking hate that album. It’s music to wipe your ass to.”
Hell yeah!

According to reports, everyone’s favourite weirdo Marilyn Manson has called Trent Reznor from NIN and his ex-wife Dita Von Tease as character witnesses for his trial against former keyboard player Stephen Bier over a dispute about royalties.
Bier is suing Manson for $20 million in lost royalties, which he claims the singer spent on Nazi paraphernalia, skeletons and masks made from human skin. Bleurgh. Well money certainly doesn’t account for taste.
The case goes to trial on 2 February.
